My interest in furniture design and production was piqued at university during my bachelor degree and will continue to factor into my future career as an architect.
Stak
This project developed the idea of creating a piece of furniture from flat surfaces, and then developing this design resolution into a series of pieces.
‘Stak’ is based upon a configuration of box units, which allows freedom of choice for the user, and an infinite number of functional arrangements.

Vienas | Du
The brief for this project was based upon a competition sponsored by Dunlop Foam which limited the design to use no other structural medium other than the foam supplied by Dunlop. Vienas | Du has developed the idea of ‘rolled’ furniture which allows the user a choice in configuration based upon functional demand. The Vienas | Du range is targeted at young adults, living in small environments with a limited budget.

The Dish
The Dish chair was the result of our final design piece which demanded a high level of resolution in both design concept and manufacturing detail.
Based around the shape and structure of a satellite dish this chair was of very simple and elegant design, with a stainless steel, telescopic, pedestal base and a leather upholstered dish-like seat. An optimal angle was achieved through ergonomic consideration.
