I have been exposed to photography since high school and continued my studies of it during university. Here are a few samples of my work.
A Day in the Life
2007
The purpose of these pieces was to expose a personality through a daily activity. High ISO film was used with a long exposure in a shadowed environment of a commercial kitchen to emphasise movement and the less ‘polished’ atmosphere of the behind-the-scenes.
Home
2007
We had to ask the question…’who am I?’ and expose an answer through images of our suburb. The idea that where we live, and what kind of life we experience there, shapes the type of people we are.
Youth
2004
This series was completed while I was still in high school. It was part of a large body of work that explored my peers. The pieces include activities and symbols that hold inherent connotations within them, all which represent the youth that I grew up with.
